The Louis Vuitton Pegase Bag is one of the most popular ‘luggage’ bags from the Vuitton family that mainly produce high-end elegant products. Other prominent members of this ‘character-filled’ family are the likes of the Louis VuittonEole Bag, the (Carryall) Louis Vuitton Luggage Bag, the (Deauville) Louis Vuitton Luggage Bag and another long-handled bag, this time a trolley, named after the Bosphore trolley. Now the advantage that soft canvas lining offers (when compared, for instance, to soft textile lining) is that it does tend to last long. A common complaint aired regarding bag lining, when made from soft textile, has been that such textile lining tends to be created to last for just as long as the bag is in the vendor’s store; starting to fall apart within a few weeks of use. The trimmings that Vuitton uses on the Pegase bag are made from leather, specifically the naturally oxidizing variety which doesn’t lose that ‘good look’ with the passage of time. Leather trimmings are also strong, so that the bag doesn’t start falling apart at the sides with just a few days’ use.
